Mountain Monorail

Intamin has over 40 years of experience in the
“people mover ” business. Working around the world
Intamin has developed a number of bespoke systems.
In response to the specific requirements in the
famous ski resort of Arosa in Switzerland a new and
very advanced monorail system was required to meet
the terrain found in this mountainou area. Capable of
travelling up and down gradients of 50% or even more,
the system is mounted onto a lightweight rail system
capable of following the terrain closely.​
